The Usui System of Reiki Healing is a hands-on healing art that was originated by Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar, seeker, teacher and healer. He had a visionary experience of the life force, which he recognized as Reiki, a sacred Japanese concept representing spiritual power. He refined the forms, disciplines and the spiritual teachings, which are still passed on by masters in the Usui System of Reiki Healing.
The Usui System of Reiki Healing stimulates natural healing processes, improves mental discernment, restores emotional balance and evokes experiences of spiritual empowerment. It enhances the ability of persons to achieve and maintain the equilibrium essential to health. It is supportive, holistic and non-invasive. It is focussed on the potential for wellness rather than illness. It is more oriented toward healing the whole person than toward alleviating specific symptoms.
Level I Training in the Usui System of Reiki Healing is available to anyone with an interest in and openness to the potential of energy healing practices. Students are taught its history and concepts, are introduced to the spiritual disciplines contained in its precepts and practices, and are taught the hand positions to use in the care of themselves and others. In the course of training, students participate in four initiatory ceremonies that energize their systems, heighten their perceptions of subtle energies, and strengthen their abilities to be accessible to the universal energy field as they place their hands on themselves and others. Register for upcoming class.
Level II Training is available to persons who have completed Level I Training, who have practiced the system for at least 100 days, and who feel drawn to deepen their connection with this system.
